What is Somatic Experiencing?

Somatic Experiencing (SE) therapy is a body-oriented approach to healing trauma and stress-related symptoms that show up in our bodies. It focuses on the body's physical and emotional responses to stress and trauma, helping individuals release held patterns and restore a sense of safety and regulation

In addition to Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) certification, Alysson has pursued further coursework with Dr. Kathy Kain, focusing on her Touch Skills. SE Co-Regulating touch can significantly promote healing by directly supporting the natural physiology of the body, helping individuals to reconnect with themselves. Somatic Experiencing works to enhance our ability to build capacity within the intricate physiology of our nervous system, fostering a sense of safety and well-being.
